Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of information.

• Account information. When you sign in, we collect identifiers needed to create and maintain your account. Sign-in may use Google OAuth and/or email and password authentication provided through Supabase Auth. This may include your name, email address, and profile photo from your identity provider.
• Profile information. Information you add or update in the App, such as display name, avatar, city, sports you play, skill categories, playing hand, court-side preferences, and profile description.
• Match and activity data. Information related to matches you create, join, invite others to, leave, or cancel — including sport, category, club name, city, scheduled time, duration, optional booking links, court location (latitude/longitude), roster participants, scores, and result confirmation status. We also process follow relationships and derived personal statistics (for example record, win rate, streaks, partners, and favorite club).
• Match chat messages. Text messages you send in a match chat, along with sender identity, timestamps, and related match metadata needed to show chat history and inbox previews. Chat is limited to enrolled players for that match; messaging closes when the match end time has passed, while history may remain readable to enrolled players.
• Device and usage data. Technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, app or page requests, timestamps, and similar log data needed to operate, secure, and debug the Services. The marketing Site may receive standard web server logs from our hosting provider.
• Local preferences. On your device, the App may store preferences such as language, appearance, search filters, and authentication session tokens (for example via local storage or AsyncStorage).

How We Use Information

We use Personal Information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Services
• Authenticate users and manage accounts and profiles
• Enable match discovery, roster management, invites, in-match chat, results, and personal statistics
• Show public profile information to other signed-in users as described below
• Secure the Services, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

We do not currently use Personal Information to send marketing newsletters or promotional email campaigns. Authentication and account-related messages may be sent by our authentication provider as needed to operate sign-in.

How Information Is Shared

Playtiva is a multiplayer social product. After you sign in, certain information is visible to other authenticated users, including profile details (without exposing your email in public profile responses), follower/following lists, match participation, and personal statistics.

Match chat messages and last-message previews are visible to other players enrolled in that match (not to the broader authenticated user base). We process chat content to deliver live updates and persist history for enrolled players.

We share information with service providers that help us run the Services, including:

• Supabase — authentication, database, realtime delivery for match chat, and related backend infrastructure
• Google — when you choose Google sign-in (OAuth)
• Hosting providers (for example Vercel) — to serve the Site and App

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your Personal Information.

Cookies and Local Storage

The marketing Site is primarily static content and does not rely on advertising cookies or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may process standard request logs.

The App uses local device storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (such as language, theme, and search filters). On web, this may involve browser storage rather than traditional cookies. You can clear local data through your browser or device settings; doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.

Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics products such as Google Analytics on the Site or App. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, maintain match history, chat history, and statistics, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. We use commercially reasonable measures, including authenticated API access (Bearer tokens) and provider-side controls, to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You can update much of your profile information in the App. You may leave matches, unfollow users, and adjust local preferences on your device. You may also contact us to ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of Personal Information we hold about you, subject to applicable law.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you believe a child has provided us Personal Information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of August 4, 2026 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change this Privacy Policy at any time. Your continued use of the Services after we post modifications will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to the updated Privacy Policy.

If we make material changes, we will notify you by placing a prominent notice on the Site or App, or through the email address associated with your account when available.
